Finally, after a paperchase nightmare, our documents are in Guatemala! The rest of the packet was sent down this week! Now the work can begin!! Our next step is to wait for the DNA authorization. Hopefully that won't take too long!!
We have also sent our first care package to baby Taylor. A family in Washington will be going to pick up their son the first part of December and agreed to take a package for us. We included a couple of outfits, a blanket, a disposable camera and a photo album. It will be neat to see the pictures we get back!!
We have found out that baby Taylor has a biological brother that lives in Washington. I have been in contact with Joaquin's mother. She is really nice to talk to and has lots of information on the boys' birth mother. Tina, Joaquin's mother, is from Austrailia and it's quite a treat to talk to her on the phone. She is sending us pictures of Joaquin and some background on their mother. Tina and I plan to keep in touch and send pictures of the boys. Hopefully they will get to know each other as they get older.
We hope that all our family and friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We will remember those that are not with us anymore and look forward to the day that Taylor will be home with us. We continue to pray for Taylor, his birth mother, his foster mother and all the other Guatemalan angels.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
