Wedding Fun!

Checking out the flowers and fountain before breakfast

We just got back from my sister's wedding in North Carolina on Sunday. It was held outdoors in a beautiful garden setting. The weather was perfect, a bit warm but sunny. It rained during the rehearsal but we saw a rainbow afterwards and knew that was a good sign for Saturday. Sara made a beautiful bride and Troy didn't look too bad!! We are so happy for both of them. The weekend was very busy especially with a toddler running around. Thank goodness Terry tried to keep Taylor entertained a bit. Taylor was the ring bearer and actually walked down the aisle holding my hand. He didn't throw his pillow which is a miracle---he throws everything these days! He even stood with me for a minute before going to sit with my brother. He was pretty quiet during the ceremony except for saying "ma" repeatedly so I would look at him. Towards the end, my brother passed him off to Terry and they stood at the back. I was very impressed and proud of him. He saw lots of family that he hasn't met before and his schedule was totally off. Thank goodness we had a sitter at our hotel for the day to entertain him. That way Terry could golf and I could help my sister get ready. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend with family and friends..some that we haven't seen since our wedding 3 years ago.

Taylor is now 23 months old. He will be 2 on July 31. Where does the time go? I have loved being home this summer. Granted there have been lots of those meltdown moments but I think he's preparing me for the terrible two's!! I wouldn't trade this time for anything. He loves to ride his toys outside and kick the ball. He is throwing everything that he can--balls, legos, books, you name it! We've tried to get him to throw his balls in the laundry basket and that works most of the time. He is enjoying his pool more. He is starting to say a few more words but gets frustrated when we don't understand him. We are trying to potty train but haven't been too successful. He wants to wear his big boy pants but hasn't quite gotten it together yet. He pulls at his diaper constantly. Maybe not much longer and we will get better with it.

We are headed to Myrtle Beach on Sunday for a week at my sister's condo. That should be alot of fun. Hope we can relax a bit and that Taylor likes the beach/ocean. If not, there is a pool in her complex that will be handy. We also hope to see my dad for a few days.

Please keep the Moore family in your prayers and they travel home today after spending a few days with their boys. I'm hoping they heard good news from their Guatemalan contacts and PGN. Daniel and Mateo need to come home soon. Lou and Essie (and the rest of their clan) should be together soon and we pray that the final stages of their process go smoothly. We are also keeping Julia, Kerry and Megan in our prayers as they start their new Global Orphan Project for the children in Guatemala. These angels will always have a special place in our hearts.
