we had just arrived in Guatemala City and were settling in at La Casa Grande. We were waiting on Oscar and Claudia to arrive with Taylor. We were finally able to meet our bundle of joy. We were nervous, anxious and didn't really know what to expect. Claudia arrived with Taylor and we were so excited to finally hold our son. I can remember that day just like it was yesterday. What a wonderful feeling it was to be with our son. We spent a wonderful week with Taylor getting to know a little bit about him. We also met lots of other adoptive families and their precious angels. What a great time we had and wonderful memories were made that week.
We had just gotten our DNA match and were waiting on PA from the US Embassy. What a nightmare that became. Thank goodness a lot of that is just a faint memory now.
We are so blessed to have Taylor as part of our family. It seems that he's always been here. There are times when I can hardly remember life without him. Of course, there have been LOTS of adjustments, but I think we are all doing okay. Taylor is changing so much and his personality is really shining! He is such a happy boy. We will forever be grateful to B for her unselfish act of allowing us to bring Taylor home to be with us. We love you lots little buddy!!
